They’re at it again!!!!

It is beyond appalling to see liberals in both parties decrying the burning of the Muslim Koran by a Florida “pastor” and the backing of efforts to investigate and clamp down on freedom of speech through the Congress.

Harry Reid, resident Democratic slug, appeared on the CBS program Face the Nation and stated that the violent reaction to the March incident was worrisome to U.S. policymakers and military commanders and may require a formal response from Capitol Hill. “I think we’ll take a look at this,” said Reid. “As to whether we need hearings or not, I don’t know.”

The equally repugnant GOP liberal, Lindsay Graham, had the following to say about the same incident in question.

“You know I wish we could find some way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but were in a war. During World War II you had limits on what you could say if it would inspire the enemy. So burning a Koran is a terrible thing but it doesnt justify killing someone. Burning a Bible would be a terrible thing but it wouldnt justify murder. But having said that, anytime we can push back here in America against actions like this that put our troops at risk we ought to do it. So I look forward to working with Sen. Kerry and Reid and others to condemn this, condemn violence all over the world based in the name of religion. But General [David] Petraeus understands better than anybody else in America what happens when something like this is done in our country and he was right to condemn it and I think Congress would be right to reinforce what General Petraeus said.

First and foremost, I would like to say, as a Christian, that I find the actions of Terry Jones in Florida to be repulsive. There was no purpose in doing what he did by burning this book, but I think he got the reaction that he sought after, which was to show Islam to be the violent religion that he felt it was. Reactions are showing him to be correct.

Additionally, I would defend the right for anyone to say whatever they feel under the premise of the Constitution, no matter how repulsive it may be. When we begin to allow the clowns in DC to police speech in the United States, we are handing over the most sacred of any of our rights guaranteed us by the Constitution. For a group who cannot balance a checkbook, I for one do not feel comfortable allowing them to say what, where and when I can say something. When that happens, we are treading on the same area as the beginnings of Nazism.

The most strident defender of our Constitutional liberties should be fomenting at the intended actions of these two jokers. Stand up and defend our rights while we still have the chance. It appears that Washington is bent on taking them away sooner rather than later.
